Gradually, gradually, you began to see yourself in another light. Due to the influence of the people around you, your confidence began to grow, little by little.

You began to stand for longer seconds in front of the mirror, you began to raise your hands in class and fight back. You began to get more assertive. You began to see yourself as beautiful, intelligent, and you began to have actual dreams.

You began to be more intentional about yourself, you began to smile even when the weight of the spirits were overwhelming. You began to ignore hateful speeches and you also began to pull yourself out of the deep hole you had dug for yourself.

You began to accept compliments from others and even give yourself, you began to accept your flaws and see that you aren’t perfect and you’d never be, but you also knew that you would always aim and strive towards perfection, and until the end, you’d keep fighting.
